Your Privacy Rights

Effective: March 15, 2023

This privacy policy applies to all ReconTRAC® websites and to how we gather, use and disclose personal information in connection with our business operations. ReconTRAC respects the privacy of its users on this site and those with whom we do business. This statement explains how we use the information that you may supply to us through the recontrac.com website or through other means. If any modifications are made to this policy, they will be posted on our website.

How We Collect and Use Personal Information

We collect personal information on this website in the following ways.

E-Mail Addresses

ReconTRAC only obtains your email address if you provide the email address. ReconTRAC uses HubSpot and similar services to send emails to you. The website uses e-mail addresses to uniquely identify and communicate between the various users of our service. ReconTRAC may also use your e-mail address to contact you regarding account status, new features, confirmation of registration, or other service related notices.

IP Addresses

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to improve our services, to investigate and remediate potential risks to our website and services, and to administer our website.

Cookies and Tracking Technology

We use what are commonly called cookies when you use our Site. We use these cookies to identify you as a valid user, to ensure that no one else can sign on simultaneously with your account from another computer and to help us serve you better based on your registration preferences. We may also use cookies to help us facilitate any promotions or surveys that we provide. We sometimes use cookies, as well as tracking technology such as web beacons, within the promotional emails that we send to our subscribers or advertisements for our Site. These performance tracking devices help us to track whether an e-mail recipient has completed an event, such as signing up for a free trial. Such information is collected on an aggregate level. We sometimes utilize third party service providers to help us track the activity within our Site. These third parties may use temporary cookies or web beaconing technology to facilitate such tracking, but the data would not be tracked in a personally identifiable way. Third parties whose products or services are accessible on our Site may also use cookies, and we advise you to check their privacy policies for information about their cookies and other privacy practices.

Anonymous Information

We regularly track site traffic for administrative purposes. We use this anonymous data for a few things:

  • To ensure smooth site traffic flow.
  • To assess what pages on our sites are visited the most.
  • From what countries or Internet Service Provider domains visitors access our site.

Our web servers collect the anonymous information that your browser automatically transmits any time you are on the web.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to help analyze how our users use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to store information about your use of the website, including your IP address. That information is sent to Google, where we access it for reports. We use these reports to review visitors’ use of the website. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data they hold. We only store your IP address with personal information if you submit that information through a form on our site or when using our services. We also have implemented the following Google Analytics features based on Display Advertising:

  • Remarketing with Google Analytics
  • Google Display Network Impression Reporting
  • DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration
  • Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting

Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads across the internet. We use ad-tracking along with third-party vendors. These use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie). Together, these cookies report if you have seen our ads (ad impressions) and how you have interacted with our ads and ad services. We want this information so we can make sure any of our advertising that you see is relevant to you.

Facebook Conversion Tracking Pixel

We may from time to time use Facebook Advertising, Facebook Pixel Re-Marketing, and associated communications. This tool allows us to understand and deliver ads and make them more relevant to you. The collected data remains anonymous and we cannot see the personal data of any individual user.

However, the collected data is saved and processed by Facebook. Facebook may be able to connect the data with your Facebook account and use the data for their own advertising purposes (in accordance with Facebook’s Data Use Policy found under: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). Facebook has ultimate control of the information gathered through Facebook Advertising, Facebook Pixel Re-Marketing, and communications. You can opt-out of Facebook’s use of cookies and Facebook Pixel Re-Marketing through settings on your Facebook Account.
